Our story and mission

Born Al-Mahd Humanitarian Services Association of the conviction, held by a group of people from this governorate, that development begins with the individual. The association was licensed by the National Center for Non-Profit Sector Development (1445 AH / 2024), and works to empower individuals and families in Mahd Governorate through programs in training and qualification, social support and economic development. We are at the beginning of our journey, building our impact one program at a time, with transparency and care.

Four tracks, twelve licensed programs

Each program is licensed separately by the National Center for Non-Profit Sector Development, with its own scope, duration and group of beneficiaries.

We do not work through scattered efforts. Our programs fall into four tracks addressing the needs we have observed in Mahd Governorate: training that creates income, support that preserves dignity, economic empowerment that removes the need for aid, and cultural activity that enlivens the governorate.

Our widest-reaching track by number. We prepare job seekers and raise their readiness for the labour market, give women a skill that earns an income, build the study skills of school and university students, and work with young people on values alongside skills.

Social Support Six programs

Support for a need that exists today: a home unfit to live in, a summer without air conditioning, water that never reaches a village, a table that falls short, a marriage delayed by cost, or an elderly person who deserves to be remembered.

Economic Development One program

The measure we really judge ourselves by: that a family no longer needs assistance. We help productive families turn a skill they already have into a steady income, rather than remaining on a beneficiary list.

Development is not only relief. The Mahd Folk Festival is an annual event that showcases the governorate's local heritage and gives productive families and artisans a place to sell what they make.

We work in Mahd Governorate and its villages — a deliberate scope, not a narrow one: we know the families, so we can verify every case and see the effect of every program on the ground.

The path every case follows

١ Application and verification The applicant states their category — productive family, social security beneficiary, or low income — then the application is reviewed and verified

٢ Matching to a licensed program We do not spend outside an existing program — each has its own target group and approved duration

٣ Delivery A renovation completed, a course held, a unit replaced, water delivered — no sums handed over without a purpose

٤ Disclosure Results are reported in the approved annual financial statements and published on this site for anyone to read

Where do your donations go? Donations are assigned to the program the donor chooses at checkout and are collected electronically through a secure payment gateway. We do not publish a percentage or figure here that is not backed by a record you can check — the numbers you see are calculated directly from the association's own records, and everything else is in the approved financial statements.
