About the association

What is Al-Mahd Humanitarian Services Association?

A non-profit voluntary association founded in 1445 AH under the National Center for Non-Profit Sector Development (NCNP). It was registered at founding as the Community Development Association in Mahd Governorate, and the change of name to Al-Mahd Humanitarian Services Association was subsequently approved. It works toward comprehensive development and a better standard of living for the people of Mahd Governorate in the Madinah Region.

What is the association's licence, and who supervises it?

The association is licensed by the National Center for Non-Profit Sector Development (NCNP) under licence number 1000598500, and operates under its supervision within the framework for non-profit work in Saudi Arabia.

How do I register for one of the association's programs?

You can register in several ways: through the registration form on each programme's page on this site, by contacting us directly on WhatsApp, or by visiting the association's premises during working hours.

Is registration free?

Yes. All the association's programs are entirely free for beneficiaries who meet the conditions. No fee is charged for any service or programme.

What are the conditions for joining a programme?

They differ from one programme to another, but the main condition is living in Mahd Governorate. The detailed conditions for each programme are on its own page under "Programs & Initiatives".

Can I register for more than one programme at a time?

Yes, provided the schedules do not clash and you meet the conditions of each programme independently.

How long do the programs run, and when?

Durations range from a few weeks to several months depending on the programme. The length and detailed schedule are on each programme's page.

Are certificates awarded on completion?

Yes. Accredited completion certificates are awarded for most training programs, and some carry joint certificates with partner organisations. This is stated in each programme's details.

Who are the vocational training programs for?

They are aimed at Saudi job seekers, recent graduates, and anyone wanting to develop their skills. The usual age range is 18 to 45, according to each programme's conditions.

Is there a limit on places in each programme?

Yes — each programme has a set capacity, shown on its page. We recommend registering early when applications open to secure a place.

How do I join as a volunteer?

Register through the form on the "Volunteer" page and choose the area that suits you from those available. Our team will be in touch within 3–5 working days.

Are there conditions for volunteering?

The basics: you are Saudi or a lawful resident, at least 16 years old (15 with a guardian's consent), and willing to commit the time your chosen area requires.

Do volunteers receive a certificate?

Yes — the association issues an accredited volunteering certificate once the required hours are completed. You can also register on the national volunteering platform to have your hours formally recorded.

What areas are open to volunteers?

Teaching and tutoring, administrative and technical support, documentation and media, social and psychological support, logistics and organisation, health and first aid, the environment, and leadership and mentoring.

What is the minimum weekly commitment?

There is no strict minimum, but we suggest at least four hours a week so the work stays continuous and the experience is worthwhile.

Social Support

How do I apply for social support?

Contact us through the contact form or come to the association's premises. The social services team will visit or meet you to assess your needs and identify the most suitable form of support.

What kinds of social support are available?

Food parcels and in-kind assistance for families in need, psychological support and family counselling, adult literacy programs, support for people with disabilities, and more depending on need.

Is social support limited to Saudi citizens?

It is aimed primarily at citizens of Mahd Governorate, and in particular cases extends to lawful residents whose need is established after assessment.

Does the association give cash assistance?

Most support is in kind (food, clothing, essentials) or programme-based (training and qualification). In exceptional cases, and in coordination with the relevant authorities, limited financial support may be given under clear rules.
